Elden Ring DLC’s Messmer Already Makes Malenia Look Like a Walk in the Park

Elden Ring‘s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is less than four months away, and it promises to bring with it more of FromSoftware’s infamously difficult boss encounters. The recent gameplay trailer showcased several of these, but one in particular has caught the community’s attention. A new character, titled Messmer the Impaler, seems to be the expansion’s central antagonist. If the footage shown so far is anything to go by, the showdown with him could prove to surpass the base game’s toughest encounter, that of Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
