NordVPN, the popular cybersecurity company, just underwent its fifth independent audit to verify its no-logs policy. Deloitte performed the newest audit and verified that NordVPN lives up to its no-log promises.

A VPN no-logs policy means the company doesn’t store, collect, or share any of your data while using its product. In this case, while you’re using NordVPN, it won’t collect your IP address, browsing history, connection timestamps, or personally identifiable information. You can rest assured that NordVPN won’t be secretly spying on you.

NordVPNs first two audits were performed by the Swiss company, PricewaterhouseCoopers. Deloitte has provided NordVPN with another audit each year since 2022.

As part of the audit, Deloitte interviewed NordVPN employees and thoroughly analyzed the company’s infrastructure. It also studied the relevant methods and deployment strategies of NordVPN’s standard VPN, Double VPN, Onion Over VPN, obfuscated servers, and P2P servers.

The audit took place from November to December 2024 in accordance with the International Standard on Assurance Engagements 3000 (Revised) (ISAE 3000).

Earlier this year, the company launched a new VPN protocol, NordWhisper, which helps bypass network blocks. This is the first audit since NordWhisper went live, proving that it’s still safe, even with its new security features.

“To maintain [customers’] trust, we not only strive each year to innovate and develop world-leading cybersecurity products, but we also fully commit to our promise not to monitor or record our users’ online traffic,” said NordVPN CTO Marijus Briedis. “Having this assurance reaffirmed by independent, globally respected researchers for the fifth time demonstrates that privacy isn’t just a buzzword at NordVPN — it’s in our DNA.”

“At NordVPN, we care about building trust with our users, and we want to show our commitment to user privacy,” Briedis said. That’s why we conduct annual no-logs assurance assessments — to stay transparent and give you peace of mind.”
