Trend Micro Launches Breakthrough Proactive Cybersecurity AI
The popular cybersecurity company, Trend Micro, recently unveiled its brand new cybersecurity AI tech, Trend Cybertron.
Trend Cybertron is being marketed as the world’s first proactive cybersecurity AI. Instead of a regular LLM, Trend Cybertron leverages data analytics, engines, threat data, and more to avoid threats before they ever even appear.
The philosophy behind the tech is that there’s no need to detect and block a threat if you never encountered it in the first place.
Trend Cybertron anticipates the needs of each business and proactively protects against the risks that it would otherwise be most vulnerable to. This reduces the workload and fatigue that cybersecurity experts are burdened with while minimizing the amount of risk the company faces.
AI is only as powerful as the experts who train it and the data that it’s fed. That’s why this new tool includes threat intelligence from over 250 million sensors and was built on decades of institutional knowledge from thousands of experts working alongside Trend Micro. Trend Micro itself has proven to be a powerful security solution with 20+ years of experience in the industry.
“Trend is building a cybersecurity AI agent unlike any other,” said CEO Eva Chen. “We’re bringing together a massive quantity of the highest-quality data in the industry to supercharge our capabilities and make it easier than ever for customers to proactively manage their cyber risk. Our customers and partners are already seeing reduced costs and improved security posture.”
“This evolution of AI in the Trend platform is unique as it calculates our constantly changing risk profile and cross-references millions of bits of data for custom threat intelligence. This has made it possible to be more proactive than reactive with our entire security strategy,” said Stuart MacLellan, CTO at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
The new AI program has already been integrated into the Trend Vision One platform and is available to customers worldwide.
